Matt and Kim at The Masquerade, Atlanta, GA.

Last night I got lucky and had the opportunity to see Matt and Kim live at The Masquerade. It was extremely fun and upbeat. Their show was impressive for several reasons. The light equipment they had was amazing since it displayed a lot of colors to the rhythm of their songs. I hadn't seen anything like that in previous shows from other performers. I kept telling my friends that the lights were amazing and I wanted to have those in my room. Since I am attracted to lights and colors like a moth and that was just something that gave my night a higher push.

Another reason was that their music is so happy and charismatic that everyone was singing along. There were a lot of key moments in which the audience was singing by themselves. Matt is so good in giving t the audience everything to have a good time and so as Kim. There was a moment in which Kim jumped to the crowd and people held her to stand up and she started dancing. It was so cool that I'm happy I took some pictures on how she danced above the crowd.

And one of the last reasons is that I ended up backstage with them thanks to a friend and it was amazing. I got to talk to them for a bit. Congratulated Matt on how he keeps up the energy all the time and that he gives everything to his audience. What I said to Kim is that I was from Mexico and I really knew how to tell good tacos from bad tacos. The ones she really liked are the ones from Taqueria del Sol. Their last album was recorded here in Atlanta, that's how she knows.

Then the night went on and we ended up at MJQ. There was a really cool set of DJs playing. I saw on Twitter during the day their names but I don't quite remember them. There are a few places in Atlanta where you can find good music and an eclectic crowd and I think MJQ in some nights it can be very cool. Last night was one of them.

While writing this I keep thinking that I got so lucky to see Matt and Kim and also on getting to know them. Really cool guys.
