Ad Campaign Review: Meet the Hilfigers Fall-Winter 2010

The frist time I saw this Ad Campaign I thought it was a pretty great concept. Why not create a family based on what the brand represents? A big American and upper class family that is having fun while playing sports and enjoying the fall in the woods? This is preppy all the way. Now that the preppy concept is back and stronger than ever it seems that Tommy Hilfiger sales are gonna go up this Fall.

In the beginning it was hard for me to post this since I was not familiar at all with the preppy and american way of dressing. I didn't like it at all. Once I read that preppy families are always playing sports and are ready to go big family dinners afterwards wearing the same cool clothes. These clothes of course have to be comfortable and cool enough to do both things with them. Now that I live in the US I understand more the concept since there is an average american way of dressing. I think that is what Tommy Hilfiger represents all the way. The Ad campaign is produced by Laird + Partners who has also produced some of the brand's ad campaigns in the past.

The song is from Vampire Weekend and the whole campaign was directed by Francis Lawrence.

I really like the production of the pictures and part of the clothes too. I don't know if will ever dress like this. But it is a great execution. The only famous face I can recognize is Noah Mills who as far as I'm concerned is the star of the campaign.

Ok, guys, I lied. Let's go preppy all the way.
