Persol Sunglasses Film Exercise by Carlo Olivares.-
I am really proud to post this film exercise of a television spot written and produced by my brother Carlo Olivares Paganoni. Carlo is a current student at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. He wrote, directed and produced this entire spot as a film exercise for one of his classes. I have to say I was quite impressed with the idea of him producing a spot like this, since he actually writes and envisions other sort of genres. The result is a quite impressive spot that features: models, lights, cool music, a concept and most of all entertainment.
From the fashion perspective this spot brings Persol as a luxury item and the sunglasses become the star of the spot. The attention goes to the sunglasses since everybody wants to be near or close to them. Very rarely we see in the fashion ad campaigns a concept full developed an executed with a story or TV spot. It's not just about the photography of the models and how they pose to cameras. Its about engaging the audience with an idea that can be remembered as something visually striking, creative and most of all fun.
I am personally trying to promote this spot to the Persol brand or show it to them in a way. I am not sure if Persol does advertising on their own. But this sure is something that is worth to see and to share.
